Whether you are designing a place for your kids to sleep or to play (or both!), you want to make sure that their immediate surroundings are as healthy as they can be. That means choosing organic, sustainable, and green products whenever possible. We rounded up our favorite examples of sustainable kids’ rooms to share with you:

This interesting structure was the solution to the problem presented by the arrival of a new baby in a tiny Paris apartment. Two children would now have to share the same small room. Eva’s amazing bed, specially designed by a firm of architects, serves as a place to sleep, a partition, and a play area.

One of the easiest ways to address sustainable design in a room for your child is to use vintage furniture (remember to choose child-safe vintage furniture). This room for a Danish designer’s child is chock full of charming and colorful pieces from the past. Almost everything was found at flea markets and in second-hand shops.
