I recently had the pleasure of working with clients who had just purchased a new home. The home was a new build, so we were starting from scratch with a home that cried out for privacy most of all. We needed to consider décor as well: my clients wanted a feel of uniformity while still giving each room its own character. They wanted to let in as much light as possible and still have energy efficient windows. We decided to go with top-down, bottom-up Duette Architella honeycomb shades. This choice gave my clients maximum light control and also gave them some interesting color options.
Because Duette Architella shades are made of several layers that create a honeycomb texture, my clients were able to select one color for the back of all their shades. This gives the house a beautifully uniform look from the outside – all the windows show the same face to the street. Inside the home, we chose different colors for their many rooms, but used a color palette that flowed beautifully from one room to the next.
